The Alpena County Horsemen's Club is all about enjoying and getting the most out of the time that we spend with our horses.
We provide the opportunity to network with other horse owners with shared interests. We currently meet the second
Tuesday of the month, at First Church of God at 500 500 N. Brooke corner of Grant at 7:30 P.M. Once the days
get longer and the weather nicer, we may meet at the various members's farms and ranches. We sponsor local horse
shows, a mounted search and rescue group, training clinics and other educational opportunities. We get together for
educationia trail rides and horse camping trips. Other family events include cook-outs and hay rides. We
provide horse related scholarships for local youths. We wrap up the year's activities with our famous Christmas party
and gift exchange.
