Alpena County Horsemen's Club

The Alpena County Horsemen's Club is a group of people with a  common yet diverse interest in horses and related activities.  Member's interests include showing (at local, state and national levels), training, breeding, trail riding, horse camping, search and recue, and driving.

The Alpena County Horsemen's Club is all about enjoying and getting the most out of the time that we spend with our horses.  We provide the opportunity to network with other horse owners with shared interests.  We currently meet the second Tuesday of the month, at First Church of God at 500 500 N. Brooke corner of Grant at 7:30 P.M.  Once the days get longer and the weather nicer, we may meet at the various members's farms and ranches.   We sponsor local horse shows, a mounted search and rescue group, training clinics and other educational opportunities.  We get together for educationia trail rides and horse camping trips.  Other family events include cook-outs and hay rides.   We provide horse related scholarships for local youths.  We wrap up the year's activities with our famous Christmas party and gift exchange.

Membership is open to anyone with an interest in horses.  You need not be resisdent of Alpena County.  Membership dues are $10.00 per individual or $17.00 per family per year  and include a monthly newsletter preceding every meeting to keep you updated on club events, activities and items of interest.

To join make a check payable to the Alpena County Horsemen's Club and either mail them to our Treasurer, Carol Clute at 9299 Hubbard Lake Road, Alpena, MI 49707 (please enclose what type of membership you are paying for and any contact information) or join us at our next meeting and take care of your payment with her at that time.  We look forward to having you join us!
